Flat Feet

Flat feet is diagnosed when the arch of your foot begins to collapse, causing your foot to literally flatten out putting excess stress on the joints at both ends of the foot. Discomfort from flat feet does not appear right away, but the increasing pain in your feet and calves is a good sign of flat feet. There are various causes of flat feet such as arthritis trauma, musculoskeletal disorders and some people can be born with flat feet.

Flat feet can be treated through nonsergical care if diagnosed at an early age. Taping your feet, orthodics, and different medications can be prescribed to help alleviate the pain and progression of flat feet. However, if your flat feet cause chronic pain, then surgery may be the only form of action to fix the problem.
